Most officers have radar now. Lidar is generally used by your state police officers on their speed traps. Lidar is expensive and can only be used while the patrol car is sitting still.
They make lasar and radar jammers, although I have heard mixed arguments on their results. Jammers are illegal to possess in Illinois as I assume they would be in some other states, although I wouldnt know which ones. Ryan
