The reason it stays idling at 1100 is because The electric choke never gets it off the fast idle step. Run the wire to the ig. terminal of the starter relay feeding juice to the electric choke while the car is running. That should fix it. BTW, you really should start a new topic thread when you have a new question pertaining to your car rather than to someone else's post. Welcome to MW.

I apprecaite the feedback and the etiquete on posting messages. I am still learning so thanks for your patience..

I have done this and it works alot better thanks.. One problem is though is it really rough idles but I am not able to time it as the pointer is no longer there. I did buy a new timing pointer but for the life of me I cannot figure how it goes on. I know this is a silly question but it is frustrating me.

Can anyone help me with this one?
