Well....only one idle mixture screw works. The other does nothing. It also seems to run rich at idle. I think the transfer slots are exposed too much.
Plus, with 4 corner idle, I'll have that much more adjustability...

If only one mixture screw is working, you've got other problems.

A 4-corner idle system feeds the rear cylinders a little better, allowing a more even distribution. Is it necessary? No, because any advantage disappears by about 1500 to 1800 RPMs. The disadvantage is you have four mixture screws to adjust and synchronize, instead of two.

If you want to do it, do it!

I just don't want you to build up your expectations.

My question is what would cause one side to work and the other to fail?

A clogged idle air bleed.

Is this something that will get "fixed" when I send my carb. off to have the 4 corner idle done or should I tell the guy I have a clogged idle air bleed?
BTW, I'm not looking for any performance gains from this. I just want some more adjustability. I should get better idle to main circuit transition. Some people claim to get a little bit better fuel economy out of it but I'm not looking for that either.
