![]() You may want to talk with D&D Performance about the T56. They have conversion kits and can discuss all that is involved in the swap. Very knowledgable folks. Also, they have very good prices.
Secondly, you will most likely need a different bellhousing, a GM stlye clutch, possibly a new flywheel and a different tranny crossmember. (and a different drive shaft as you stated). If cost is no object, then the T56 sounds like a good idea. However, I think that you will find that the complete conversion is very expensive as compared to a Tremec 3550 or TKO or TKO II conversion. Just my thoughts. Keep us posted on how it all progresses.
