![]() If you don't plan on adding much power down the line, the 1 1/2" unequal length shorties are your best bet. If you plan on making a lot more power (325hp+), you may want to go with 1 5/8". I'm not a fan of the equal length shorties because they're usually a nightmare to install, and they make getting around under the hood more difficult. For the little they actually add, it's not worth the extra money, banged knuckles, and exhaust leaks, IMHO.
There are a ton of reputable manufacturers. That being said, the factory shorties are actually significantly superior to cast iron manifolds, believe it or not. Dented and banged up as they might be, you're not going to pick up a whole lot by going to any set of shortie headers until you start working on the engine. Also, long tube headers are superior to the shortie designs, but it sounds like you've already invested money into the rest of the system. |
