![]() thoes things always have bad coils ....if u wanna save urself some trouble get the thing scaned ....if the mass air was bad or dirty it will cut out not skip or miss like its a bad plug ....dont use any thing but mass air cleaner to clean it if u do..its 6 bucks at part stores just do it right dont use brake clean...i would put money on it being a coil....there not much money for a new coil but u have to get it scanned to find out what coil is bad..you can do an ohm test but that doesnt always work

come to think of it I am running over 10psi on the stock coils with over 75k and they are 7 years old and they are fine.... so saying they always go bad is BS

![]() I was a service writer at a Ford dealership for years and we saw this problem often- and most times it was ford's great fuel pumps. Some focus cars had a recall on it.... but basically when the pump gets hot it starts bogging down and cutting out, which can cause a misfire feel. Look into your fuel pressure... but if it was spark related, it would definitally throw a missfire code and your check engine light would at least come on when it was acting up.
