OK, I got this fixed. In case anyone wants to know, there are two little arms that run from the controller to the control valves. One of the bushings had broken and the control arm had fallen off. $6.85 for a new bushing (about 3/8ths of an inch round pieced of plastic) and 5 minutes labor and I have it fixed.

I wonder what a shop would have charged me for this.....
