I think you'll be hard pressed to find anybody that would agree with you that 1998 is the worst of the Mustangs. A lot of users will stand by the 1974-1978 Mustang II as being the bottom of the barrel or 1971-1973 (my least favorite group). The 1998 cars weren't my favorite, but they're not bad.

Thank you for welcoming me.
Unit 5302...I need to make a correction. Yes the mustang II would have to be the worst of the worst, but I meant replacement parts and upgrades for the 98. |

Actually, I rather like the Mustang II's. I think most people that dislike them have never driven them. They're much lighter and more nimble than the practical station wagons from 1971-1973. With the 302ci V-8, and they actually performed similar or better than most of the engine options in the previous generation even in a straight line because they weighed about 1000lbs less (not joking about the weight advantage).
Sure, they're basically a Pinto, but as painful as it may be to hear, the fox body Mustang's were similarly related to the Ford Fairline/Mercury Zepher. My first car was a 1977 Ford Mustang II V-8 Fastback with the C-4 transmission. It was quick out of the hole, had a very attractive instrument cluster, well laid out controls, and it was very responsive. I felt it also looked a heck of a lot better than a lot of the vehicles on the road at the time. To each their own though. ![]() |

Hi everyone, it's been awhile since i've been able to get on. Well, I have done a few things to the stang. Nothing major yet. Lack of money continues to hold back performance plans.
But I have removed my pin striping and the rocker stripes, as well as lowered the front end. I have yet to attempt the back but I kinda like it. It looks more like a dragster. How do I post pics? |
