I would totally agree with BMXMON on this one. I have the JBA's on my 66 and would absolutely have to say they terminate further down and back than the stock manifolds. I did just what he mentioned, I cut the system back a few inches and had the flanges welded back on in the proper place. I love those headers btw.....they work good with the cable clutch too.
