![]() Yeah, pretty weird I must say for it to just start that after nine years of service. Though nine years is a long time, perhaps its just getting old. Best of luck, make sure you let us know how it works out!

![]() your starter is suffering from heat soak, headers of not. after nine years of service it is about due for replacement. remember that as the insulation on the field coil wires age, it breaks down, and you lose motor capacity. at some point in time, your starter decides to give up completely. you are close to that time.
