I'm assuming, from the posts, that there aren't any cats on car. Even the small ones up by the manifolds are gone....right.
Check and make sure the transmission is starting in 1st gear. Also, check to see if the convertor is messed up and not being lose enough. Check fuel pressure and fuel filter. Check the harmonic balancer for slippage. Last check the timing chain and see if it has jumped. All of that should keep you busy for a while...
