![]() The only thing I would suggest doing is some strengthening with some weld on sub-frame connectors and torque-box reinforcement too. I am about to do a swap myself and thats what everyone has been telling me.

![]() all-right lets get something straight the cars are the same thing no welding subframe connectors needed.here is the major differance's
springs, brakes,to put the brakes from the 5.0 u have to change the spindles/steering knuckles, clutch cable, throttle cable, tranny crossmember, fuel lines.. take the 2.3 engine out and take the computer harness out .put in new computer and harness in.plug in all connections, dont forget about ground wires and the blue wire that connects to the starter solenoid thats a power for the computer.the old power steering lines will connect to the 5.0 pump, change the fuel lines, put your tranny in with the 5.0 dual hump cross member, change your clutch cable, drive shaft is the same, install the 8.8 rearend, change out the brakes, spindels, springs.theres a few other things but u get the picture let me know if u need more info.ive done like 4 of the swaps on mustangs and 1 on a thundrbird.good luck

![]() you shouldn't, i have a friend that swaped a 302 into a 93 i4 and didn't have to do any suspention work. he did afterwards for better handling. so pretty much you don't have to change the suspension but it wouldn't hurt.
