Default Re: what year car ngine ill fit in a 67 mustang

Yeah I have a 67 Mustang Straight six. I have an 8 inch rear axle for it not installed. I am currently looking at a 289 out of a 67 cougar and a 1969 302 out of a Gran Torino. I am wondering if my 3-speed for my Straight 6 will work with the 289 or 302. Also which would be a better choice a 289 or a 302. Also what is a need to replace when converting to a V8 on a 67 mustang?
