you'll get better mileage with something like a 600 holley with vac. secondaries.. the primary side on a 4v will be smaller than on a 2v carb... you just gotta learn to keep your foot out of it ;-)
you could switch to a stiffer secondary spring too... keep 'em from opening to quick
