![]() Yeah, and if you really want to become ill, just think of how much that "HiPo" 271 HP engine option cost back then.
According to my 1966 Mustang Accessory Price List, effective date March 10, 1966, the following is stated: the 271 HP Hi_Performance 289 CID 4-V Cobra V-8 (Includes Special Handling Package and 6.95 x 14 Dual Red Band Nylon Tires) - with the GT Equipment Group cost an additional $276.34. Without the GT Equipment Group cost an additional $327.92. That's it! A 4 speed top loader for an 8 cylinder cost an additional $184.02. The nowadays expensive Rallye Pac was a $69.30 option! Amazing! Oh well - the cars now are worth more than back then. Neal |
