If you port the stock heads, especially the exhaust side, they can do pretty well up to 6000rpm..
Not like alum racing heads, and less than 351w heads. but if your not going to radical, it will work.
Sometimes bigger is not better.
I don't see major tork from a 302(even w/low reving tork cam).
It just won't run like a 351,390 or 428, you gotta rev it up a bit.
