![]() If you have the bucks na dthe car is clean. The 390 Option is a good investment. Like every one said it was the why? Well it was just a few bucks more for the 428 so more folks opted for the bigger motor. That really leaves it this way, the 390 while being a smaller cube motor is in no way over shadowed by the 428. As a matter of course if I had the bucks, and was looking the 390 Car would be mine as long as all serial numbers and color codes matched. Of course the motor area should be straight and I would not hesitate to have it checked over by a professional, to make sure everything was in perfect order.
As you can tell I'm kind of fond of the 390 having owned a 67 GT with a 390 as a youngster.With a little cam work the 390 can be pretty impressive.. ------------------ 393,750 Holley,Pro Billet MSD,MSD 6AL,Xtr-Com cam,et streets, 3:55,Eagle Long rods 3000stall covertor,Airflow Research, Hooker long tubes 3" exhaust.
