if your going to drive it a lot or any distince go to a t5 tranmision i have a 67 fastback 289 10 to 1 pistions 5/8 cam & 302 heads the 4 speed is fine for crousing in town but you run a lot higer rpm on highway mine ran 27 to28 \100 at 60 mph with 4 speed with 5 out 0f 89 stang it runs 19/100 it just samething to thinkabout
