Hello,
I too have just started a few months ago on a 65 fastback. One of the first things was tires and wheels. I have P235/60R15 TAs on 15x7 American Racing torque thrusters. I think the pictures you refer to show the 5 spoker torque thrusters, although I don't think these came stock on any Mustangs. The suspension on mine is all stock. I don't have any problems with the front tires. The back tires hit the fender lip if I bottom out the back end. I need to have the lip rolled or cut or something. I can't say it looks stock just because the tires are bigger. I would probably go slightly smaller to avoid the rear fender problem.
