![]() Normally, I'd say no BUT depending on what kind of road racing you're doing it might be worth a little extra money. Certain types of road racing can put the engine in high rpm ranges for extended periods of time. I'd just buy whatever the manufacturer you select has. I've got MAC 1 5/8" shortys that are HTS coated. I dunno if it's worth the extra money on my street car, but you live and learn. They do still look pretty good after almost 2 years of hard driving though.
