I have Torque Thrusts on my 68 FB. They are not clearcoated. I did mine when they were brand new just out of the box.

I cleaned them with Pre Clean O. They just ran a Scotch Brite over them ever so lightly. Cleaned again and shot them with clear Imron. That was about 12-13 years ago. They still look super. I let them harden for a week or so too.
