Gearhead, I was around in when the small block came out in about '63. I went to exhibition things promoted by Ford. I even convinced my mom to buy a '63 Fairlane 221 with a 3-speed, ha,ha. I never saw any 64 1/5 (early 65's) with the Falcon speedometers and generators that had a 289. That doesn't mean there weren't any. I never saw any 1961 Chevy's with 409's either, but I've been told there were some. Not too sure that I believe 64-289 or 61-409, but there may be a few.
