Agreed with most of the above. Rust on different parts of the body. Old engines might have cracks in the block that aren't very obvious. If its been sitting for a long time it could have water in the fuel and mildew, roaches, and an assortment of bugs could have taken up residence in the interior. This is extreme abandonment though. Starter Celunoid(Sp?) could be burned out or about to be. But mostly rust is worst thing to look out for. And if its got old tires look out for crumbling rubber.
------------------ 1966 Baby blue Coupe, 289, Manual 3-speed, Edelbrock 650, Flowmaster 3-chambers, and minor upgrades. Interior work includes custom paneling, custom dash dress-up(I refuse to cut anything out of the original), Rewiring most of the electronics, Porsche 911 seats installed soon, and Stroker kit when I get to Texas. November of 2001 I will go back to Dallas. |
