The shop manual is a must and the last two books Rev mentioned are right on target for a beginning restoration. If the car is farther along and you are making specific upgrades subscribe to Mustang and Fords if you are restomodding or if you are going concourse join the Mustang Club of America which will get you a subscription to Mustang Times. You can find a lot of how-tos at Tom Schmidt's site.
