You don't have to change the cam. Try the 4-barrel first. Get a 600 cfm carb. Either an Elderbrock or Holley. Your choice. I prefer the Elderbrock for street driving. Easier to tune and stays in tune longer. My $ .02. You may like how it runs.

When you want a cam, call Crane's hot-line. Tell them what you have and what you want it to do and they will recommend proper cam.
Most cam's that are installed are to big. Yeah, bigger isn't always better here. Ask for Tony at Crane, he knows what he's talking about.
