I know that parts are cheaper for 350 chevys than anything else, but last fall I had a motor built for my El Camino. It was a four bolt main, bored .30 over, mild cam, flat top pistons, etc. It was 1800 (parts + labor) to pull my engine, and replace it with the rebuilt one. I think 500 of that was labor. For what its worth.
