No modifications to the shock towers was required to fit the Cleveland in the 65 coupe, but Exhaust choice is limited.

The guy had 180 Headers that just fit between the shock towers and the heads. Each tube was individualally connected to the heads, it wasnt your usual set of headers. They were a pain, but with some work and scraped knuckles we got them on.

Oh, and the drive shaft also had to be cut, Now to think of it.The car was The Mustangs version of Frankenstien. It had a 390 Truck Radiator in it, a Ford 9 in out of a truck that was a little wider than the Mustangs rear end, and a Jerry rigged threaded rod Kick down, and a Custom made Shift detent, and parking paw. God, Building that C-6 was something else.

We shaved down the pressure plates to make room for an extra set of clutches. All kinds of "Custom" work done to that car.

Havent talked to that guy in a while, eversince he the DWI. Hmmmmmm WOnder if he wants to sell the coupe.

Man that thing would haul like there was no tommorrow, even with 2.73's in the rear. Which is not exactly the best rear ratio if you have 4 Barrel heads, a Single Plane manifold, and a hellacious cam. It would still scoot when the gas was punched.

One of the few cars I've riden in that will spin the back tires in 3rd gear (Auto C-6) at 70 MPH when the throttle is nailed.
