![]() Actually, it was an extreme case of over-revving that bent them all. I was past the 1/8th mile (on a 7.82 660' ET) when I grabbed second gear instead of fourth. The slicks and clutch both grabbed and held, spinning the engine to well over 8500 rpm. Valves floated, pistons were kissed....you know how the rest goes. Look for photos in both MM&FF and 5.0Magazine of me holding the weirdest bent valves you've ever seen. They're just not layed over, but have a true S-shaped bend to them. I've got new on order and will hopefully have things back together and running next week.
