Yup,it sounds like it is.The problem with using a 160* thermostat is,it basically stays open all the time and never keeps the coolant in the radiator long enough to cool down.Using a 180* allows the radiator to pull the maximum heat out of the motor,go with a 180* and the heck with the Summit guy's advice,he prolly was thinking about his buddy's Camaro
