Bunping your timing up is good but you have to listen very carfully to your engine afterwards. Listen for knocks and pings, If that accurs, back your timing off. Also you may want to gap your sparkplugs a little higher. I have my timing set at 14 btdc, but my sparkplugs are at the stock recommendations. Keep asking around, some people know more about this than I do.
I do recommend that you do bump it, just make sure you watch for detonation and pre-ignition. Other than that, hope I've helped. |
