My Ex's 00 GT

I was surprised, cause I just found out the other day that the '01 (00) GT's have 260(!)hp, as well as 300 ft/lbs. A kid at my school just got one (his parents got it for him) and I didn't believe it when he said it (of course I had reason not to, he also said that it was a 5.0.............). I am happy that ford has put some power into the new stangs, but angry (annoyed?) that someone else has a faster car then mine. Does anyone know how the new stangs stack up against a 87-93? Of course, mine is an auto. I get really pissed off, cause there is another kid who has a 91 lx with 3.73, no cats and its Jail Me Orange. Everyone thinks his car is so incredibly fast, and there is soooo much hype about it. I try to reason with people and tell them that yes, it is fast, but so is a stock 5.0L, and they are thoroughly confused. Oh, and that little b*tch also had his parents buy that for him (its the second car they've gotten him in a year!). Ugh, I really hate some people.
