				 | Alternator From Hell I replaced my alternator (89'G.T) last week. Ran fine for a few days. Now my AMP light goes on and my gauge shows that my new battery is draining. Its also making a combination grinding and whistling noise. Did I just get a bad alternator. The install wasn't brain surgey. I can't think of anything I could have done wrong. Thanks. | Bad alternator's out of the box especially "rebuilt" ones, are not uncommon I bet I have had at least a dozen bad ones over the years - try another one and you will probably be fine |

				 | Did you try kicking it?...that usually works for me No, but seriously, if its making funny noises it must just be bad. I just replaced the stock one in my 92GT for a 130AMP from a 94 I found on ebay and since then my amps are fine. ------------------ 1992 GT 5.0L Convertible BBK Shorties All Power Super Chip Mass Air |
