I've got a buddy with a 2000 GT, 5 speed. It has Off road exhaust, somekind of chip and a Pro 5.0 shifter. It has clicked off a 8.79 in the 1/8th. This is with a guy driving that had, up til now, never owned a fast car in his life. You guys with the 5.0's that are trying to hang on to the past, get over it. The 4.6's are fast now and can hand a STOCK 5.0 it's a$$ nine times out of ten. You guys are probably the same ones saying that the LS1's aren't fast either and you've never seen one break 14's stock.
