It is not necessary to inform them of mods, but I do suggest carefully documenting the mods & saving receipts.also if you have a camcorder,video the whole car inc mods. photos are good to. This will assist you if there is a loss.

I my state ,& I believe most others, You will not be reimbersed on full value of mods,only what the mods will add to market value of the whole car.

I hope you never have to use any of the obove suggestions.
