8k rpm chevy 350? I didn't know chevy was using Vtec now seriously how can that motor rev up that high unless he has no torque on it...would be like a nascar type thing. I don't think that powerglide could be helping him too much. He prolly needs all 8k of those rpms just to keep up with lack of gears. I think you should be at least even with him if not in front good luck
