Red514LX -some A's your Q's
1 - I've had this combo on the car since the spring of 2000. 2 - My heads are fully ported, O-ringed, on studs, etc. My Cobra upper was cut open to be fully ported & rewelded shut. The lower has weld added to the runners for more room to port. 3 - This combo hasn't been on the dyno, yet. 4 - The first time I had this combo at the track, back in April 2000, I ran 124mph. I was letting off in the traps because my shift light was coming on too early. I was only using my 245/50/16 Nittos at the time (26" tall). After that, I went to the 275/60/15 BFG's (28" tall). Last season, I would usually run around 128 mph. Since last year, I've dropped some weight with a tubular K-member, coil over front springs, & I've moved the battery to the trunk. I've also removed the power steering & put a Flaming river rack on. The scales said 3150 last time I was weighed with 3/8's of a tank of fuel & me in the car. I think that the scale is off because I have weighed in at 3115 & 3175 in the same trim on the same scale! These past couple of times at the track, I have been launching at 4000 to 4500 due to excellent traction. I have usually rode the clutch out of the hole in the past due to limited tracton...My mph seems to go up as my ET goes down.... ------------------ 91 coupe 3.73's,long tubes,3" exh, ported stock t-body,ProM-77mm cobra intake, edelbrock heads,B303,1.72 rr's 36lb inj's,tremec, & a Paxton NOVI 2000!!! 10.784 @ 133.92 on BFG Drag Radials (275/60/15) formerly known as SisuStang |
