![]() I had a 66 fastback when I was your age and started out basicly stock.After a few engine mods.I installed a 9" rear end with 456 gears.It was easy,didnt even change the backing plates.A set of traction bars and some bald Mickey Thompsons and I was hell on wheels.
To get good power out of a 289 you have to make it rev.Port the heads and install a good cam with some really good valve springs. Thats my 2 cents worth,I wish I still had that car. ------------------ 97 Mustang GT.Bone stock.I have owned 6 other Mustangs.Nothing newer than 1971. |
