Yeah, I came on to post about that crap when I saw that Mike Souslin had beat me to it. They were saying stuff like, "Man, these imports are race rockets right off the assembly line," and "The possibilities with an engine like this are infinite." Also, that the engine redlines at 8000, which apparantly is "twice what the new V8s can do." It was bull.

BTW, Hammer, it was Horsepower TV that did that hop up you're thinking of. They put flows, an x-pipe, a K&N, and a 70mm TB on a 99 GT and got 28 RWHP!!! Can that be, cause that would mean that the GT was making well over 300 at the crank, with just those minor mods.
Anyway, I like those shows, but making rice out to be in ANY way superior race cars to our muscle just gets me.
