Bob- it has been a good winter for my entire family. My dad did in fact get the entire Holley kit as well as upper and lower control arms- he is now saving for the rest of the goodies he needs like MAF, injectors, etc, so it might be a while before he gets it all together. My cousin who had the 94 red GT bolted on a Kenne Bell blowzilla in december- all I can say is WOW! Its kind of neat to fry the tires at 40-50mph, and a little scary! As for me, well I am still getting married, and I just put money down on the honeymoon, but I got a new job as a medical sales rep and I am finally making good money, plus I don't have to work in the coal mines anymore! Hopefully by April 1st when the track opens I will have all my parts on. I think I'm going to be the slowest of all of us now, as I dfinitely think my dad and cousin will be in the 12's now with traction, though I don't think I will, I'm still too heavy. The weight I saved with the aluminum heads I just put back on with my global west subframe connectors. I'm shooting for 104-105mph, I think my dad will be at 107-108 (if he gets close to 350HP) and my cousin will be at 108 or so I think- he was running 97mph before the blower. I think I'm going to take a chance and go with the 24's, as I have no plans on supercharging it, at least not till it gets 100K on it and I can rebuild it from the bottom up, but this won't be for 5+ years I think. What kinds of goodies did you get? Is there anyone around us that I can talk to about selecting a cam? Send me an email sometime.
P.S.- I can't wait till August 11th- how soon till I can sign up?
