Beware of those cars!!
I have heard way too many stories about those cars. Yes, they are fast and nice looking but tons of problems. I was looking at some of these cars too. The turbos are almost guaranteed to go at some point as well as the timing belt and if that goes you are pretty well screwed because that can cause major damage to the engine if that lets go!!
The final choice is yours but I wouldn't do it. I listened to the advice I was given and because of that I bought an '88 mustang GT with 74K miles for only $3000 in excellent condition.
