![]() My girlfriend wants to visit African Lion Safari in Toronto, and wants to drive though the animal park in the 'Stang.
I looked up the site, and on the main page is an 88 Cutlas with a family of baboons roosting on the trunk. Would you guys take your cars through somthing like that - think there's any risk? |

![]() If she really wants to drive the stang through there and will throw a fit if you dont then just drive it. You can outrun all the animals there!

![]() Oh..man I luv my Stang to much to subject it to some wild animals, although as Smokedawg said, I think it will be pretty fun to outrun the animals. Don't you have some beater you can drive or perphaps maybe renting a car? Oh well up to you, let us know how it goes. =)

![]() I've heard stories of those monkeys bending antennas, pulling mouldings off, etc. I'm sure that the park is not liable for any damage (probably make you sign a waiver).
It may not be as fun, but I think that they do have a bus that you can go on instead of taking your own car thru. I haven't been there since I was a kid, but I remember it as being a fun place. I guess I'll have to go this year with my wife & son (he's 4 1/2). He'll just love it (but we'll take the wife's car!) If you want, stop in Toronto & I'll trade your Mustang for my winter beater to drive thru the park! ![]() Naaah. I wouldn't do it for reasons stated earlier. I'd worry about the terrain and animals. NOT in the Mustang. Not me.

![]() SisuStang is right about those monkey's. I have personally seen them tear up a soft top one time. I have also heard many stories about those things ripping of side moldings too. I was only like 10 at the time, but after that, I told myself I would never go in there when I got a car.

![]() A few years ago my wife and I went through Bear Country wildlife park in South Dakota. They wouldn't let us go in our convertible (rented Sebring before I had the Stang) and gave us a courtesy car. There's a chance they won't let you go in it even if you wanted to. I wouldn't do it anyway just because you never know what might happen.

![]() Would your girlfriend think it would still be fun to drive through there with HER car!
I doubt it. It's not her car so why should she worry if it gets damaged. ------------------ '82 GT 351W C-4,BBK headers,Carter 625 carb,Comp.Cam,Flowmaster exhaust. 1988 GT...T-5,bone stock |

![]() I've done one of those before, and it was really fun. take the mustang, if anything get's too close just rev a lot or honk the horn, maybe do a burnout. that worked for us (in a camry) it should work for you. we also got to where we could spin the front tires, and angle the spray in the direction of animals. it was fun!!!!
