i want a max pressure ratio of about 2.2 - 2.5... thats 20-25psi
motor should flow 585.13cfm n/a at 6000rpm and .88Ve outlet Temp = 530degR (34.7psi/14.7psi)^.283 So.. 675.8degR - 460 = 215degFideal outletT adiabatic efficiency.. say 72% so 215-70 is a 145deg temp rise. 145/.72=201degF + 70degF = 271degF outlet temp Density ratio... (530degR/661degR) x (34.7/14.7) = 1.89 density ratio 1.89 x 585.13cfm = 1107.49cfm x .069 to convert to lb/min = 76.41lb/min MAX @ 20psi and 6000rpm On the t-76, map is hard to read, but it appears above 70% ![]() As far as surge limit... Say.. i want half PR (10psi) by 3000rpm.. so 1.68PressureRatio Thats 292.6cfm at 88%Ve Toutlet = 530degR (24.7/14.7)^.283 = 614degR or 154.2degF, minus 70degF ambient (the 530degR) so 84degF ideal rise. If using 72% again.. 84/.72=117degF actual rise 70degF+117degF=187degF + 460 = 647degR Density ratio is.. (530degR/647degR) x (24.7/14.7) = 1.38DR 292.6cfm x 1.38 = 403.8cfm x .069= 29lb/min I cant read the %ages clearly but that too appears to be above 70%efficiency. Thats a single t-76... Ive still got some cackerlatin to do.. may go for two t-66's I'd prefer to have two.. however with one big turbo.. it wont take too long to hit the boost threshold.. so im not too worried about lag. |
