![]() Sitting in my car, listening to the sound of 300 horses yurning to run rampid, I notice a new patch of freshly laid asphalt. Gingerly, I crept up on the virgin territory. The smell of tar still thick in the air.
Without so much as a warning, I stomped on the gas, and heard the familiar sound of screaming tires and raging anger. As I listen to the sounds of my personal symphany, I imagine what ancient cultures would think if I were to travel back in time. Would I be a God, or a Demon? A Demon, for sure. For I am HorsePower, and I am angry. ------------------ The Black Mamba 11.2@124 Not running, engine being pulled. 351 going in with blower. 94 Cobra- MAC cold air fender kit, Motorsport underdrive pulley's, MAC 21/2" off-road H pipe, SVO mufflers, 3.73 gears, E-303 cam, 13.417@101.335mph |

![]() Doing a burnout on virgin asphalt doesn't make you a loser...I likely would have done the same thing. Now, telling us about it,well...
As to the time-travel question, I'd say you would be a God- until you ran out of gas. I suppose it would still be a cool ride with only 2 horsepower instead of 300, though. |

![]() I am going to go with demon on this one. The sound of 300 horses I think would scare the hell out of people a few hundred years ago.

![]() Demon,
I know that if I was running around with a spear and a loin cloth and I saw a car that sounded like a hurd of angry Bison, moved faster than a couger, and was larger than a Grizzly bear I'd run my *** off in the other direction! ![]() ------------------ Driving: 1998 F-150 Far way in Edmonton==> ![]() 1995 Mustang GT [This message has been edited by 95mustanggt (edited 05-06-2001).] |

![]() The only problem is that if you went back to before they had roads, you'd a hole digging, loud noise making, yet immobile demon.

![]() Fresh asphalt is the deal. When I got home Friday I went to the mall, and noticed that they had just finished repaving the whole parking lot.
Now need I really say more about freshly paved mall parking lot?? I really didn't think so. ![]() ------------------ 2000 Mustang GT |

![]() The roads at work have just been paved, for the first time. When I first noticed it, it was all I could do not to burn a hole into it. I do have the honor of being the first person to light it up. Other's have tired to top mine, but no serious contenders yet. Hey Phil, bring that bad arse 'Maro up there and rip it up!
