The 4.6L is what is replacing the 5.0. With a cam in the Explorer, the 4.6L doesn't have more top end than the Explorer 5.0. Better reverse that.

The Explorer comes with GT-40 lower, Explorer upper (nearly the same as the Cobra, and GT-40P heads. If you put an E-cam in that truck it would seriously outmuscle even the new 4.6L GT's. Tuned right with a decent MAF and computer you'll put the 260hp GT at a 40+hp disadvantage. On a Mustang those parts are cabable of over 300hp.
