I think that's a great idea. I'm about to do the same thing.(1/2" lines, elec pump, regulator).

I have ran both types.
Mechanical is reliable, but fuel heats up from engine heat transfer. Also draws small amount of horsepower.

Electric is $$$ and can crap out as my last one did, but draws very little HP or Heat.

Also put a filter before the pump to keep the dirt out of the pump.

BTW, nice times, 60 ft and good mph! That looks like a good run.
