Im sorry to hear that you guys have had these probs with your 3550's. Mine has been great. I have had it for about a year now and I havent had ANY problems at all. I bought a pro 5.0 shifter when I installed it too. Maybe that was your problem? Mine goes into gear very easily every time and I race constantly. I personaly dont think that there is a better trans for your $. A few cases cracked on the OLD model but they dont sell those anymore, so just dont buy a used one unless you can tell the difference between the two.
