In my area, I have found that there are few "fair" judged shows. Most are participant voting. And even some that are judged by the club members who run the show, aren't always fair. I just went to one that was quoted as "judged", and since they didn't have enough members to judge all the classes, they had "friends" of the club look at cars and pick winners. One particular class was 87-95. An Avanti placed himself in that class! We all knew this Avanti was a kit car based on a car made in the 60's (I believe). But he won in that class, cause the guy judging didn't. Even if it was built sometime between the years of that class, he shouldn't have been there. Made no sense to me. That would be like putting a Kit Cobra in that class cause they had it built in 95 or something.

Anyway, enough of my venting. I guess my lesson is, that if your looking for real judged shows, you have to research the show carefully, know who's doing the judging and HOW the judging will be done. Scored vs just being looked over. Especially in shows that include other make cars, vs just Mustang/Ford shows.
