You have to be able to shift quickly so a short throw shifter is almost a must since the quick shifts could damage your shift forks. You just keep the gas pedal floored and press the clutch in and shift as quick as you can.

I powershifted my way to my fastest ET last time at the track. It gained me 2 tenths. After making 2 runs like this my clutch began to slip a bit so my second run while power shifting was not so good. Do it with caution.
