Thanks. I have the aode. Mods are as follows. P&P upper and lower intake, 56mm BBK throttle body, 24lb injectors , K&N filter, Dual exhaust(40 series-flowmasters). Those are the major engine mods, i also have 3:55 gears w/ t-lock, fms aluminum driveshaft, B&M hammer shifter, B&M shift kit, B&M transmission cooler. Suspension mods include Eibach pro springs, kyb shocks and struts.

The reason i wanted to know: I blew the old motor up about 3 months ago and replaced it with a 97 motor, using the top end from the 95. I have a chip in the car, and took it out before i did the swap. It seems that the 95 ran lower idle rpms then what the 97 requires. I made the adjustment to 800 and it runs smooth, but when you put it in gear, the idle drops to 500 and runs smooth. Is that normal, or is it because of the mods. I.E. The p&p work? When i put the chip in, it changes by maybe 100 rpm either way. I know the chip changes timing and fuel curves and rpm levels, but what is normal with out running the chip? Any help is appreciated. Thanks again.
