When the officer writes the ticket out and has you sign it, MAKE SURE YOU READ IT OVER AND NOT JUST SIGN IT. I have had a few tickets where the cop "exaggerated" the speed I was going but I made the mistake of signing the ticket before reading it. Always make sure you look it over. If something is false, bring it to the cop's attention. If he doesn't fix it, refuse to sign the ticket.
If there is false info and you know it, don't sign the ticket. When you sign it, it's like you are pleading guilty.
